Style Me Pretty is a premier wedding blog known for its inspirational real wedding posts. I continually look at these for inspiration when helping brides pick out floral colors and designs. That’s the perk of ordering your DIY wedding flowers from Blooms. I am here to tell you how to make this inspiration on your own! If you want your wedding flowers to look like this, I can help you out!

Color Scheme. This color scheme is not only a favorite of my own but the favorite of MANY others, I guess you could say it is popular. Pastel colors are beautifully paired with dark dresses for contrast and tonality. Keep in mind other pastel colors such as pale yellows and pinks!

What you will need. You will need green orchids, Picasso calla lilies, spray tinted blue hydrangeas, purple freesia, white hydrangeas, and floral tape, floral sheers, ribbon, and corsage pins.

How to put it together. Prep the flowers by hydrating them and cutting the stems. Start at the center by making the freesia and a couple of orchids the center of the bouquet. Add some hydrangea and start filling in spaces and building off the base with calla lilies and orchids. Wrap floral tape (it sticks to itself) around the stems to hold the flowers in places after adding each layer. You are not finished adding to the bouquet until the shape is rounded and full! When you are done making the bouquet, you can make the finishing touches by hiding the floral tape with ribbon and cutting the stems straight. Cut the bottom of the stems with floral sheers to make an even edge at the bottom of the bouquet. Tightly wrap the ribbon around the stems from the top to the bottom and then wrap it back up to the top. Hold the ribbon and keep it in place using the corsage pins you have. THAT’S IT! REALLY!! YOU CAN DIY YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS!
